New tv

I hope everyone had a good thanksgiving and no one got injured during black Friday. Speaking of black friday if you’ve been eyeing some of the great prints at Wonder Bros be sure to pick it up during their buy 1 get 1 sale.

I’ll start by saying I am the reason Whitney is still on tv. I’m a big fan of her standup which may be the reason I like the show. Don’t get me wrong I don’t love the show but I do enjoy watching it. I think she’s funny and do is the show to a lesser extent. It’s just your basic show about a boyfriend and girlfriend.

Whitney Cummings is a good writer though. I love her other show 2 Broke Girls. It’s about a girl who use to be rich but lost it all when he dad went to jail for running a Ponzi scheme. She then moves in with Kat Dennings character who as always been paycheck to paycheck. It took the first couple of episodes to get on to it, but once I did I fell in love. I’m a big fan of Kat Dennings and she is great in this show. The best way to describe it is a 90’s TGIF show with dick jokes. I really love Kats character and her cynicism. It also co-stars the amazing funny Garrett Morris.

Zooey Deschanels show New Girl is about a girl who breaks up with her boyfriend and moves in to an apartment with 3 guys. Although the show is good, every episode ends with the same “Aww shucks” feeling.

Last Man Standing stars Tim Allen and Nancy Travis from So I Married An Axe Murderer. Allen plays a right wing conservative who works at a outdoors men magazine/store. It’s basically about his life at home and dealing with his 3 daughters one of which got pregnant in high school. It is better than I thought it was going to be and very funny.

Grimm is a pretty basic show. It’s basically the first couple seasons of Supernatural just without the brotherly connection. It’s 1 guy hunting down fairy tale creatures and urban legends. Like I said its good but nothing we haven’t seen.

Now Once Upon A Time is something new. Its about a town of fairy tale characters unaware of a spell that was placed on them, and a child trying to help them. The first half of the first episode is really bad. But every episode after that has been pretty good. It kind of reminds me of this comic series Fables. Except in the comic they are in hiding and know their past.

All of these, except for 2 Broke Girls, are on Hulu.

I’m baaaack!

So I’ve been away awhile. I got a little busy with work but in a week or two things should get back on track.

So Mike from WonderBros did it again. He did this amazing painting of one of the DVD sleeves for Army of Darkness. And it turned out amazing.

And if you notice in the lower right hand corner he got it autographed by Bruce Campbell! Mike truly went out of his way to make this even cooler.

His brother is working on prints of The Road Warrior and of Escape from New York. He has done some great work with The Lost Boys, Donnie Darko, Sharkapuss, and The Thing just to name a few. You can go to their site or store.. To check out and buy their work.

Next week will be about this seasons new shows.
